Image Compressor
Reduce a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file's size with an honest before/after comparison — including when a setting doesn't actually shrink it.
This re-encodes your image through your browser's built-in canvas image encoder. Lower quality values reduce JPEG/WebP file size at the cost of visible detail; PNG has no such control since it's lossless. There's no guarantee the result is smaller — an already-compressed image, or PNG re-saved as PNG, can come out the same size or larger, and this tool reports that honestly rather than claiming savings that didn't happen. Re-encoding also strips EXIF, GPS, and color-profile metadata from the output.
Your image is processed locally in your browser — it is never uploaded anywhere.
Reduce a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image's file size by re-encoding it with your browser's built-in image encoder. JPEG and WebP support a quality slider that trades detail for size; PNG is lossless, so there's no equivalent control.
Results are reported exactly as measured — if a particular image and setting produce a larger file than the original (which does happen, especially for already-compressed images), this tool says so rather than claiming savings that didn't occur.
