Base64 Encode / Decode
Encode or decode text as Base64, UTF-8 safe — handles accented letters, emoji, and non-English text correctly.
This tool encodes and decodes text, UTF-8 safe (accented letters, emoji, and non-English characters all round-trip correctly). Base64 is a text encoding, not encryption — it provides no confidentiality or security. Text is encoded and decoded locally in your browser.
Choose Encode to turn plain text into Base64, or Decode to turn Base64 back into text. For example, encoding Hello produces SGVsbG8=; decoding it returns Hello exactly. Unicode text (accented letters, emoji, non-English scripts) round-trips correctly.
Base64 is not encryption. It’s a reversible text encoding — anyone can decode it back to the original text, so it provides no confidentiality or security on its own.
