Travellergram Review: A Guide to Features, Pros, and Cons
Travellergram is an online service that allows users to search for and compare prices before booking flights and hotels. It gives users access to upload and review photos of the hotels and share them over social media platforms. It can be used on both iOS and Android devices.
Is Travellergram legit?
The website has proper certificates, and the IP address has been there for the last six years, which makes it more reliable. But it depends on the users, whether they find it credible or not. Read this Travellergram review to find out more about the platform.
Is Travellergram safe?
Travellergram is a website that offers users the option to book hotels online. Some scam detector websites have approved Travellergram websites and consider them safe for use. However, this website is hosted in countries with high risk. It also engages in false advertising and uses link shortening. So, it can be deduced that the website is not completely safe for use and needs to build credibility to increase its popularity.

How does Travellergram work?
You only need to visit the Travellergram website. Enter the travel dates and location for your vacation, and find all the available options for your hotel. The search engine on Travellergram will find the most suitable hotel deals wherever you want.
If you like any hotel, then simply enter your contact information and complete the payment. Once the payment is completed, users will receive an email regarding the confirmation of their bookings.

What are the Pros of using Travellergram?
Many websites provide flight and hotel booking services; how is this different? So here are some unique features of Travellergram that distinguish it from others.
Guaranteed booking
The website claims to give a 100% guarantee of booking and a refund if the reservation is not confirmed. Having such a guarantee makes the booking experience trustworthy, as it shows how you will not feel betrayed at any point. But it depends on the user if they want to have faith in them or not.
No hidden charges
Travellergram also claims to have no hidden charges whenever you are booking anything. This means you do not have to pay anything other than what’s already shown, and the original price is the legitimate price.
24/7 customer service
The platform also claims that its customer support team is always available to help users. They also claim that your call will not be directed to a machine; instead, a real person will guide you through your issues. However, only a little information is given on the website related to customer support.
Cheapest price available
The algorithm of Travellergram is helpful to users as it is designed to find the best deals available on hotels. It assures you of getting the cheapest deal possible.

What are the Cons of using Travellergram?
Basic design
The design of the Travellergram website is effortless. There is only an option to enter your travel dates and location. Then all the available hotels will be shown on your feed. While this minimalism is appreciated nowadays, it seems like it was designed by a scammer with no thought given to staying long-term.
No feedback
They do not have any reviews on famous review websites, and the presence of social media accounts is also negligible. This is doubtful, as the thoughts and experiences of others help you decide to form an opinion about the company and its services. It doesn’t matter if the reviews are positive or negative, as all famous companies get both, but no reviews are suspicious.
Fake advertising
Several Travellergram reviews claimed that the website uses false advertising. The users said that the price of a hotel for one night was listed at a lower cost, but when they clicked on the listing, the price automatically increased. It is suspicious because the website is using false advertising, which might be misleading and make users spend more than their budget.
No contact details
Travellergram does not have any contact information mentioned on their website. There are no phone numbers or email addresses to contact the service. However, the address is listed for the offices, which are located in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, and it does not help to gain much information about the website.
False claims
Travellergram claims to have the lowest prices for hotels on their websites. However, this is not true, as many other booking websites display lower costs for the same hotels on their websites.
Therefore, it is difficult to trust the website as there is little to no information about them on online platforms. They do not have any social media accounts or customer feedback contact information. So, the users need to be sure of the legitimacy and then proceed with the payment, as it could be a scam.

WhatsApp to Discontinue Free Google Drive Storage for Android Users
The social media platform WhatsApp will end the free Google Drive storage provided to users for chat backup and storing images and videos. It means that the free 15GB allowance will now also include the backup of WhatsApp, and users will have the option to sign up for a Google One subscription.
Google announced in November that WhatsApp chat backups on Android will start contributing to users’ Google Drive storage. The change was made for WhatsApp beta users in December 2023, and it will be implemented for all WhatsApp users on Android in early 2024. They also said that users will be notified 30 days in advance, and a banner will be visible in the chat backup option on WhatsApp settings. The banner displays a prompt saying backups will commence utilizing your Google Drive storage in the upcoming months. It will give the users adequate time to delete the unrequired data from storage or purchase a Google One subscription, depending on their needs.

This way, WhatsApp will suggest various ways to reduce storage and get your work done with the free 15 GB of data without paying extra.
Google Settles the $5 Billion Consumer Privacy Lawsuit
Google has settled a lawsuit regarding consumers’ privacy. The company was accused of monitoring Chrome users’ activities even in incognito mode and giving them a false sense of not being tracked. They were hit with this lawsuit in 2020, and apparently, after failing to get the case dismissed, they settled with the complaint that originally sought $5 million in damages. Neither Google nor the complainants have given any statement to the public, but their terms are settled and will be presented for the court’s approval on February 24, 2024.
Lawyers for the plaintiffs had claimed that Google used its Google Analytics, Ad Manager services, and browser plugins to monitor users’ activity. They also said Google led people to think that they had control over the information they wanted to share. A spokesperson from Google said at that time that the incognito mode does not track the activities of users; it’s the website that collects that information.

The firm’s internal emails were presented by the lawsuit’s plaintiffs, which showed the conversation between the company’s executives that proves the incognito mode usage was being tracked by them to sell ads and measure the web traffic. The lawsuit had asked for $5,000 per user because of the violation of California privacy laws and federal wiretapping. The claim said that millions of users have possibly been affected since 2016, which justifies the settlement amount of $5 billion. The original complaint also alleged that Google and its employees were given the power to learn the personal details of its users.
A few weeks ago, Google had also requested for the verdict to be given by the judge, but it was refused, and the jury trial was supposed to begin next year. A formal settlement offer will be submitted for the court’s approval, though the figures will not likely reach the original settlement amount of $5 billion. Notably, in August, Google also settled a case over giving access to user search data to third parties for $23 million.

China’s JAC Motors to Launch the First EV with a Sodium-ion Battery in January
JAC Motors, the Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer, is going to launch the world’s first mass-produced electric vehicle with a sodium-ion battery. JAC has announced that deliveries will begin in January 2024. The vehicles with a sodium-ion battery have a lower density; however, the lower cost and better performance in cold weather can lead to an acceleration in mass electric vehicle adoption.
Yiwei is the latest brand of JAC, with Volkswagen having a stake of 75 percent. JAC’s parent company, JAG, is half state-owned and half Volkswagen-owned. It led to many controversies when Volkswagen, a German manufacturer, decided to fund the Chinese state-owned car manufacturer. Notably, Volkswagen has funded $700 million in Xpeng, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, and has a 5% ownership stake in the E/E Edward platform.
The Yiwei EV is like the Sehol E10X car, only rebranded, as per an announcement. According to CarNewsChina, the Sehol model has a range of 252 km, a 25 kWh capacity, and a HiNa NaCR32140 cell. JAC announced earlier this year that they would drop the Sehol brand and rebadge the vehicles to either Yiwei or JAC. The new sodium ion EV is the Sehol 10X, as per the pictures. Though JAC has not announced the model’s name, experts are thinking it could be the Yiwei E10X.

JAC has recently started focusing on the research and development of sodium-ion batteries. In April 2023, JAC presented its first car under the Yiwei brand, known as Yiwei 3, with the EV model launched in June equipped with a LFP lithium battery, and they guaranteed that the sodium ion variant would be launched soon. The maximum capacity of the Yiwei 3 with a 51.5 kWh battery is 505 km CLTC.
The Yiwei EV reportedly uses sodium-ion cells of the HiNa battery that are cylindrical in nature. Then, JAC assembles the batteries in the company’s unitized encapsulation to increase stability and efficiency. The chairman of Yiwei, Xia Shunli, said that sodium-ion batteries will become an important component soon because of their low cost and will increase the popularity of EVs among the masses.
The New York Times Sues OpenAI and Microsoft for Copyright Infringement
The New York Times sued OpenAI and Microsoft on Wednesday for using millions of the newspaper’s articles to train their chatbots. The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan Federal Court, has accused Microsoft and OpenAI of building generative AI tools by “copying millions of Times’ copyrighted articles.” This is the first clash between AI developers and a major media organisation. The suit has also demanded accountability for “billions of dollars in statutory and actual damages” and requests the elimination of any AI tool using the New York Times’ copyrighted material.
The Times said in an emailed statement that journalistic material should be used for commercialization with permission from its owners. They said that after it was discovered that OpenAI and Microsoft Gen AI tools were trained using their content, the news publisher attempted to negotiate with these companies to allow the use of their content for AI tools and receive a fair value for their content in return. However, as per the NYT, Microsoft and OpenAI claimed that it was a “fair use” and did not negotiate with them.

A representative from OpenAI has responded, saying they respect the rights of content creators, but they are disappointed with this lawsuit filing, and they will come to a mutual decision together with the NYT. However, Microsoft representatives chose not to comment on the situation. Notably, many authors like George R. R. Martin have also sued OpenAI for using their content without their permission to train chatbots. The authors had claimed that ChatGPT was developed by “mass theft” and is an infringement of their intellectual property.
ChatGPT, launched in November 2022, has gained a lot of attention since then. It had a growth rate of 9900 percent in January 2023 and had approximately 173 million users by April 2023. The US has the highest number of chat GPT users with 14.81 percent, while India stands second with a share of 8.18 percent.
