Activision reintroduces our beloved canine companion, Merlin the Dog. A decade after the heartwarming debut of Riley in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Players can now experience the thrill of having Merlin by their side. Merlin is a good companion with savage finishing moves.

Merlin the Dog takes the spotlight as an optional companion in multiplayer, Battle Royale, and DMZ modes in season five (BlackCell) of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.

The announcement highlights that Merlin cannot be harmed in the game, emphasizing that he is there solely for finishing moves and friendship. That means having Merlin is truly optional as it doesn’t provide players with unfair advantage. You can actually see one of Merlin’s finishing moves in the game’s trailer.
